Godzilla Melee Remastered Versus Tier List (Pre-launch)

This is the table the tier list hub promised. It is a pre-launch Versus ranking of Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered. Versus here means 1v1, city stage, default energy rules, Rage as a pickup not as a given. Four-player melee notes sit under the table because chaos inflates armor characters and pickups. If you want shopping advice instead of letters, use the unlock planner.

Disclaimer in plain language: nobody has a ranked sample. Pipeworks can still retune beams. Kiryu has less public DAMM lab than Heisei Godzilla because he was a SKU extra. We are still ranking him.

A	Mechagodzilla (Showa)	Turret that used to resist edged. Mothership monster in a city.
A	Kiryu	Same class as MG with less public lab. Treat as A until the demo proves S or B.
A	Gigan	Speed and fierce pressure. Dies to calm beams, eats mashers.
B	Godzilla 2000	Sidegrade G-man. Slightly faster, slightly less gun.
B	Mecha-King Ghidorah	Ghidorah with more steel, less excuse to panic-hover.
B	Rodan	High ceiling, energy tax, week-one online inflates him, lab deflates him.
B	Anguirus	Melee king, Versus citizen. Grabs flyers, loses long beam wars.
C	Megalon	Honest starter, exploitable if you know anti-air.
C	Orga	Tools exist, reps do not. Could climb the second a lab monster mains him.

S means you must have an answer. A means you can main it without a social penalty. B means you need a reason. C means you need love. C is not unplayable. This is DAMM, not a 2D fighter with one-frame lossless confirms.

Melee (4-player) adjustments

• Anguirus to A. Armor and grabs in a crowd are a party trick that also wins.
• Destoroyah stays S but becomes a magnet. Military plus three humans will focus the leader. Read how to play.
• Rodan down. Camera and three anti-airs. Hovering is griefing your own team in Team Battle.
• Orga up a half step if Rage pickups spawn in busy cities. Confused kits shine when nobody has a matchup chart.
• Ghidorahs become stage-dependent. Ban Mothership for sanity. See maps.

If online matchmaking is delay-based, flyers drop another step. If it is honest rollback, Ghidorah stays a menace. We will not fake a netcode grade. See online multiplayer.

Answers to S tiers

Destoroyah: Do not beam-war. Walk, grab, use buildings. Heisei Godzilla has to play patient, which is why people skip to buying Destoroyah and then cannot do it either.

King Ghidorah: Look up, tap projectiles, punish landings. Rodan is the old counter. Anguirus is the new-player counter because he does not try to out-fly a dragon.

Those two answers are enough to stop a Discord from claiming the game is over. The rest of the roster is a conversation on the kaiju hub.

Stage modifiers that fake a buff

• Tokyo walls make Gigan and Anguirus look better.
• Seattle sky makes Rodan look better.
• Mothership makes every mech look better.
• Monster Island makes Destruction threats look worse and wrestlers look better.

A character is not S if they only win on their house stage. Pick San Francisco for a fair argument. Pick Tokyo night for a trailer argument. Pick the demo, on October 15, for a real argument.

How to climb without lying to yourself

1. Main an A or B you like. Heisei Godzilla is allowed.
2. Lab one S as CPU so you recognize the animation.
3. Buy the counter, not a second S, unless you already won as the A. Unlockable kaiju has a shop order.
4. Record whether you lost to the kit or to the stage.
5. After the Steam demo, throw this table out if beam energy changed. Come back to the hub for the new one.

The preview is still more useful than a letter if you have not played. Letters are for people who already know the roar and need a shopping list. You are allowed to be either person. You are not allowed to cite this table as a launch review. The game is still on the way to November 3, 2026.
