Godzilla Melee Remastered Preorder, Price, and Editions

Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered is a $30 decision with one $40 exception. This page is the money guide: editions, storefronts, and the traps that appear when a Godzilla game goes physical after a long drought. Pair it with platforms for pad and subscription questions, and with system requirements if your SKU is Steam.

Preorders opened with the June 6, 2026 announcement on Atari.com for boxed copies and on the usual digital storefronts as wishlist or pre-purchase depending on region. IGN’s June 10 roundup is the clean English checklist most retailers still match.

Some recap sites mixed up the PS5 box as $39.99. The Atari / Games Press sheet said PS5 physical $29.99 and Switch 2 physical $39.99. Believe the press sheet until a retailer page disagrees in your country. VAT and regional Steam prices will move the number. The US tag is the one this wiki quotes.

Bonuses

IGN did not see a preorder bonus in June, and the July 10, 2026 retailer refresh still lists none. No steelbook was in the first wave of listings. If a later retailer exclusive appears — art book, pin, jacket — it will land here. Do not pay a scalper for a “bonus code” that does not exist. This is not a Roblox title. Amazon, Best Buy, and GameStop carried PS5 and Switch 2 boxes in IGN’s US roundup. Check the publisher name. Fan-made listings that bundle “codes” are spam.

Physical versus digital

Buy physical if you want the box on a shelf and you do not trust store delists. Buy digital if you want the Steam demo on October 15 on the same account that will own the full game, or if you are on Xbox. Buy Switch 2 physical only if you accept the extra ten dollars as the cost of a Nintendo box in 2026.

Family Sharing: Steam marked the unreleased app as excluded from Family Sharing because it had not launched. That flag often changes. Do not plan a household around sharing until the store says yes.

Should you preorder at all

The preview lays out the split. If you already know DAMM is your game, $29.99 is a known quantity and Pipeworks is the original studio. If you only care about netcode, wait for the demo. If your PC is under the minimum GPU, do not pre-purchase Steam hoping the recommended specs will be kinder. They were not even fully listed.

Launch sits on November 3 next to louder software. Physical copies of cult fighters sometimes evaporate. If you want the PS5 box, ordering early is a logistics choice, not a hype tax. If you are digital-only, a wishlist ping is enough until October 16 — the morning after the demo.
