Godzilla Melee Remastered Unlock Planner: What to Buy First

A checklist for the any-order shop, written before prices exist.

Unlock Planner

You cannot plan exact coin costs for Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered yet. You can plan order. The remaster lets you unlock monsters, locations, and gallery items in any sequence. That freedom is how people buy Destoroyah, a night-stage still, and a second Ghidorah before they own a flyer. This planner is a day-one script. It agrees with unlocks, starter kaiju, and unlockable kaiju. If the Steam demo prints prices, we will add a cost column. Until then, treat each row as a purchase you make only after the row above is done.

Print it, screenshot it, or ignore it and main Megalon forever. All three are valid. Only the panic shop is not.

Before you spend anything

  1. Finish one Adventure clear as Heisei Godzilla on Normal. You need stage literacy more than you need a fourth lizard.
  2. Play one Destruction and one Versus so you know whether you like beams or grabs. See how to play.
  3. Look at your friend group’s pads. If you host local melee, stages might outrank monsters.

The order

PriorityBuyWhy
1Gigan or Godzilla 2000Second melee identity. Gigan if you liked Anguirus. 2000 if you liked Heisei.
2RodanAnti-air literacy. Online will be full of wings.
3One mech (Showa MG or Kiryu)Mothership exam. Details on mecha kaiju.
4Tokyo night or San FranciscoThe stage you will actually host. See maps.
5King Ghidorah or DestoroyahS-tier toys after you can beat CPU versions. Versus list.
6The other of those twoOnly if you still have coins and a reason.
7Mecha-King GhidorahSkip if you already own organic Ghidorah unless you hate the float.
8OrgaCompletion, lab, pride.
9Remaining citiesFor gallery routes and variety, not because you need London to play.
10Gallery stillsLast. They do not win a stock.

If currency is generous, you will fly down this list in a weekend. If it is stingy, you will live on rows 1–4 for a week and you will be a better player for it.

Alternate plans

Movie fan, not lab rat. Buy the monster you love at row 1 even if the table disagrees. Then return to Rodan. Love is a valid currency. Ignorance of flyers is not.

Party host. Swap row 4 to row 2. A second stage you can vote on is worth more than Gigan if four people are coming over with three unlocks between them.

Mothership hater. Still buy a mech. You will be forced onto that stage in someone else’s Adventure stories and in random Versus. Learn the gun.

Collector. After row 8, finish the shop. Then go outside. Kiryu will still be there after dinner.

Things this planner will not do

  • Tell you the 2002 chain is back. It is not.
  • Tell you to grind Hard Adventure twelve times before you may look at Orga.
  • Invent a secret button that unlocks Legendary Godzilla.
  • Rank gallery art.
  • Replace getting started. This is a shopping list, not a first-hour guide.

After the demo

If the demo shop shows that Gigan costs the same as Destoroyah, buy Destoroyah later anyway. Price equality is not skill equality. If Kiryu is on sale because nobody understands him, consider bumping him to row 3 over Showa MG. If stages are free and only monsters cost coins, skip row 4 and spend on Rodan faster.

When numbers exist, this table gets a third column and the tools hub gets a one-line recap. Until November 3, the planner is a way to keep your future self from rage-buying a dragon. The dragon will still be in the shop after you can look up. The tier list hub will still call him S. You will just lose less.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Why isn't Destoroyah first?

Because S-tier kits teach bad habits if you cannot already play. Beat a CPU Destoroyah as Heisei Godzilla, then buy him.

Should I buy gallery items to 100 percent the game?

After the roster and the stages you use. Stills are last on the table for a reason.

What if the starters are different in the demo?

Then row 1 changes. The idea does not: buy a second identity, then a flyer, then a mech.

Where are the actual prices?

Not public. This planner is order-only until the October 15 demo. See Unlocks.
